Vasile Găman, folk craftsman from Vânători-Neamț

Craftsman Vasile Găman was born in 1936 in Lunca village, Vânători-Neamț commune, where he still lives today. He graduated from the Arts and Trades School in Târgu Neamț in 1954, and the crafts he practises are wood carving, joinery and carpentry. Devoting himself entirely to working with wood and to collecting objects and tools that recall the life of the Romanian village, the craftsman has managed, through a lifetime of work, to display his pieces and his collection in a house-museum.
